The Royal Standard was never risen for Diana's death. The Royal Standard is a symbol that says that The Queen is in residence. A Royal Standard is the Sovereign's own symbol, and can't be flying at half mast, because there is always a Sovereign! If a Monarch dies, his or her heir becomes immediately Sovereign, what explaines that there can't be a Royal Standard flying at half mast.

Sometimes a person can be brought low without saying a negative word. Did not the Queen and Royal Faimly end up having to BOW to Diana's courtage? Even in death, Diana brought them ALL to shame!! If they didn't feel that, they should have. Diana brought them to their knees through the shere reverence, honor, and respect from the British people! I'm American, and yet I felt so PROUD of ALL of You!!

How poinient that her brother made it clear that Diana needed NO "Royal" title in order to continue her naturally beautiful brand of magic. That was the very best tribute of the entire service!

I also think she was sort of a poster child or whatever for other divorced mothers. She arose from the ashes after her divorce, and I think a lot of other mothers did as well.

u obviously don't know anything when she got divorced form prince charles she was stripped of the title her royal highness put was able to keep diana PRINCESS

I rememebr this so well. When woke up that Sunday AM, my father said that Diana had died. I asked "Diana who." He told me and I felt so taken aback. I am not British. Never met her. Admired her and the work she did with people with AIDS and felt she was treated rather badly by the Windsors. When I wateched the funeral the following Saturday, I awoke at 3AM, as I did when she was married. I was so moved and continuie to be so as I watch, again, now.

Diana's official title was "Diana, Princess of Wales", although she was no longer an HRH. Taking away her HRH was another Windsor family spite against Diana.

Diana retained the official title "Diana, Princess of Wales", although she was no longer an HRH.

Diana was in fact still Diana, Princess of Wales.

Diana had made up with Raine before she died, but she was still estranged from her mother, Frances Shand Kydd.

Yes, apparently from the evidence at the Inquest, Diana had not spoken to her mother for four months when she died and had said she would never speak to her mother again. The reason was she opposed her relationship with Hasnat Kahn, the Pakistani heart surgeon she had a relationship with for two years. It is apparent from the evidence that no one apart from Mrs Shand Kydd opposed Diana having relationships with non-white men. It was another part of the overwhelming evidence she was not murdered.
