@ImaginarySanity of course they're straight! Every time girl that's not uhura walks into the room with kirk funny music plays... It also appears to be fairly impossible for Vulcans to be... well... not straight... Look up "Guy love" from scrubs, a kirk and spock version...

@McKenzielja - First of all, it isn't "every time girl that's not Uhura walks into the room with Kirk funny music plays" at all. And besides, it's the original series; there's always funny music playing. And even if that is true, that doesn't mean Kirk can't be bisexual. You also forget that Spock is half human and is clearly very capable of affection (Watch Star Trek The Motion Picture.)

Hmm, well, I have to say I don't normally like your videos, not because they're bad, in fact, they're quite good, but because I hate slash. However, this was pretty good.

I feel that slash is an innacurate representation of the Kirk and Spock relationship. Yes, they love each other, but they are not in love with each other. See?

@McKenzielja To settle all accounts, if all you people see, I made this comment 7 months ago! You could ask several people on this site how my viewpoint has changed... I am really tired of re-explaining it to everyone... So everyone who is telling me to get my facts straight about a fictional universe (albeit hella awesome!) needs to get their facts straight about the real one... Start with looking at the age of the comment....

@McKenzielja What in the world would make you say that it's "impossible" for Vulcans to be straight? That makes absolutely no sense. And just because Kirk often 'gets the girl', that doesn't immediately imply that he's OMGTTLYSTRAIGHT. Don't take this the wrong way, but your comment comes off as extremely ignorant, if not also very self-righteous. I think you really need to check your facts before going arguing with a K/S shipper (or 2 or 3 or 4, all of whom are well equipped with arguments).

Gah! I've been wondering what this song was since I saw my school do the musical about 2 years ago. I had completely forgotten about it until now. Not a fan of HSM, but this song has a way of sticking in my head. So glad I found it....plus Star Trek...AND K/S. ^_^

@McKenzielja The entire original Star Trek series (including movies) is about their love. Every other love is temporary (or drug induced, not really their choice, etc), but they always end up with each other as a "happy ending". Check it out. It's a relationship modelled on the Greek ideal (minus physical love, although the latter is "a possibility"). Roddenberry's own words.

who cares whether or not they were actually in a romantic relationship. The fact is there's enough there to make people think of the possibility and I have had more than one Treky (Trekie?) agree it's implied. That aside, even if you don't agree this is a fan video. People play around with character all the time in these things. If you don't agree with the relationship then why are you wasting 5 minutes of your time watching commenting? Find something better to do with your life!
