There is a big difference in the A1c tests available to everyone and that includes the ones you get from laboratories, doctor's offices and of course kits for home use. Depending on which method you use there are different requirements. As for this kit, the laboratory screens out all of the possible sources of interference including things that you might have on your finger that might interfere with other diagnostic tests (like blood sugar meters). You should wash your hands before you poke it.

You can buy the Reli On A1C test at walmart for 9 bucks and it's soo much simpler then this. With postage paid envelope to send it of with.

Thank you for posting this video. If you don't wash your hands well, and there is sugar on your hands, will the A1c test be higher, just like a normal blood sugar test?
