As for her looks, she has that girl next door look, that is pretty but approachable, the kind you would like to marry. A classy woman and singer.

I've been watching about 15 videos of Rosemary Clooney with my 87-year old mother. It is getting close to Christmas. I am too young to have seen the original performances of these. I am gradually warming up to Rosemary Clooney. She just sings the song and the melody, but she doesn't need to do much else. The pitch is spot on, great diction, the facial expressions are appropriate, legato singing, great tone quality. She is obviously a trained singer, but she does not show it off.

I know how you feel about Rose. As a kid I loved her in WHITE CHRISTMAS - but then I discovered her all over again in the early 80's when she was making such great music with Concord Jazz. Isn't she delightful in this song?
