Rita Allen, JSU Gospel Choir, Part 6 "The Day the Devil Came to Church"

The Rev. Charles E. Posey (published author with a number of short stories to his credit), author of the musical drama, The Day the Devil Came to Church, was honored by its production and rave reviews on August 5, 2001 at Anniston High School. The drama was performed by the JSU Gospel Choir. The two lead roles were the Devil, played by Paul Allen, and the pastor of the church, played by Alphonso Thomas. The cast involved 38 members. Dr. Bobby Jones of BET was the special guest at the event. The show exhibits the horrible possibilities that can occur when church members are controlled by the flesh, not by the Spirit of God. It is a very entertaining and enjoyable satire. Director of the performance was Pauline Pituck, who has been writing and directing plays for more than 15 years.
