Yeah, her voice was great on this tour, but it seemed like she wasn't quite used to its new condition so was unable to utilise its strengths and avoid the weaknesses. As you say, the straight belts would've been easy for her, but she avoided them where possible, and lazily went through the verses. Then again, it was a fucking long tour, so she might just have been getting tired and impatient, lol.

IMO, this is the best performance of ABMB she has ever done. Her voice on the Charmbracelet tour was always very very good, and her chest register was quite soulfull and thick sounding in all her performances. During Daydream era, she used alot of falsetto and her voice was a little thin, and in this era she sang OUT more and her voice was very rich. I wish she wouldnt lip the F5 here though! During this era she could definitely do it. The last "ba-baaaaaaay" at 4:12 is SO daydream soundy!

It did sound a tad burned on the american leg (the earlier part of the tour) but thats just Mariahs voice. Sometimes it sounds deeper than other times, sometimes it rough and husky while sometimes it higher and airier.
