yes the movie was generally innaccurate but what was accurate may have been the most important reason to see this movie....that anne was executed because she gave birth to a girl. The girl who would become arguably the greatest queen in the history of Western Civilization

It may have been inaccurate but you have to admit the acting,costumes sets.. they wree all PHENOMENOL! Natalie portman's performance on this scene gave me the chills. she is amazing.

This movie was great. I love period moives. Everyone looks so great. Everthing has been done already but the only thing that matters is what do you walk away with from watching a film like this. Thanks for psoting.

Although we all knew how it was going to end, the film's highlight was definitely its theme of forgiveness. Mary was disgusted by what she thought Anne and George were going to do, but she still went back to court and pleaded with Henry to spare Anne. When she stormed through the halls and took Elizabeth from her mother- such a moving scene. It's as if she's saying to her mother, "You took care of us, and look what happened to Anne and George."
