THE Annie Oakley who believed that women should shoot as
good as a man demonstrates but a fraction of the stunts
that she could perform with a rifle. She was raised in
Ohio dirt poor and used to hunt to help her family pay
their bills. She wound up becoming an International Trick more...
Shot. She even became friends with Sitting Bull! Sitting
Bull called her Little Sure Shot.
Annie toured the world with the Buffalo Bill Cody Show.
Historically speaking, Annie is probably the most
Celebrated Female Riflewoman in the world! Countless
plays and TV shows have featured Annie.

@Velasca In every biography I ever heard of her or Sitting Bull it says she was. , And I have been reading about them since I was 10 over 40 years ago.

@Kari166 Annie had serveral siblings, most married and had childern, so it s POSSABLE both are telling the truth. We tend to forget that while a person may become famious they still are human and have family...siblings, nieces, nephews, wtc. I cant say if they ARE being honest only that it is POSSABLE.

I had to do a report on her when I was in fifth grade. I read her biography. One of the best books I ever read!
