  • Folks this sport has honor , friendship and respect if you are in fencing and you posted rude comments. Then you know nothing of fencing. I would be ashamed of you if I were your coach. people reading your comments would think all fencers are rude and stuck up. the proof in your coaching is when your students are on the strip win or lose, a stuck up rude bully or a person others respect. friendship is what fencing is about Friendship last for ever thats what fencing is about.

  • They're going so slow because it's a demo, but you are correct about the lunging.

  • advanced my ass

  • @PrsFenderJackson1980 Each are based off of different knds of dueling in history. I'm not sure, but I think foil came from a fight to the death duel. Epee came from a duel where it was about getting first blood, and sabre came from duels on horseback. Each was taken to make a sport, hence why there are three weapons. :)

  • @rjkid2 Corps à corps* you mean

  • @rjkid2 Corps à corps*

  • when d\oes the guy have to leave and they can fence

  • My question is why are there three variants; foil, epee, sabre?

  • If he was watching correctly, that last would have been ruled kor-a-kor, there gaurds meet, and that is a common mistake that i myself make.

  • does any body else see the complete and total difference between men and woman in sabre fencing?

  • in the last example, it could have resulted in a simultaneous.

    bravo to whitetiger.
