@ka2rwp Not sure what kind of aluminum you are talking about. Aluminum hates water and it hates salt air even more. Or should I say water hates aluminum.... It takes an acic bath to get rid of the pitting and corrosion. This trailer was protected with paint. Polish will do the same. But aluminum left untreated will only last so long and it deteriorates.

That looks like quite a find. And 33 feet is almost big enough to live in! Was it originally polished, and someone just threw paint at it?

Yes that is exactly right. Good thing too because the paint kept the corrosion in check. The thing is like new underneath.
