Taking a step back from the underground's highly distorted heavy metal approach to Grunge, Screaming Trees released the trippy covered Uncle Anesthesia in 1991 trimmed up and groomed for commercial success much like Nirvan's Nevermind or STP's Purple.

I was a DJ at KRVM in Eugene, Oregon in 1990-1992 when this album came out it blew my mind. I played this most mornings on my shift. Still sounds as great today as it did then! Im glad I was born in 74 the music I was involved in during the 80's and early 90's was so new and creative. It was a great time to be young and playing music!

i saw screaming trees live lots of times and remember at one concert Lanegan started yelling at the band on stage and threw his microphone down and walked off stage. Too bad they couldn't get along better such great music they made
