It is a shame not many people know about this song...even U2 fans. Probably one of the greatest lyrics to a song to come out in the last 10 years.

A beautiful and haunting track from U2. Perfect song to listen to while your driving at night under the stars. Its a real pity that the band never played this live, it would have been an absolute classic.

It's an amazing track that is a great throwback to the atmospheric climates of the Unforgettable Fire (1984).

i went from thinking it was "one step closer to norway".. to "one step closer to nowhere".. to "one step closer to nothing".. then finally. "one step closer to knowing." :) gotta love that irish accent.

This is such an amazing track. I have to believe all the "I only like early U2" people out there didn't take the time to listen to the albums and just judged the new work on the singles they heard on the radio. I'm 29 and grew up with the early u2 as a child, still say Unforgettable Fire is my favorite album, but they are still writing amazing songs and I feel sad for those who are too blind to enjoy them. It's hard to think of a band like U2 having underrated tracks, but this one will be.
