Nice tip - thanks. Maybe I'll use some marine-grade stuff.

The story is we rode about 50 miles round trip into the mountains south of Bozeman Mt and did a little camping. It was stellar.

@VanessaErnst1979 Expensive compared to what? Gas? Car insurance?

Looks amazing. Nice work!
So did anyone want to change setups after experiencing the other (i.e. swap to an xtracycle or trailer?)

I've tried both and both have their advantages, but I'd have to say the X is my favorite method of carrying a load. The Bob has a lot of bounce and sway.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I've just fitted an X to an old school mountain bike (an Orange Clockwork) and am looking forward to trying it out (just waiting for a part to arrive before I can ride it).
I'm hoping that the load capacity can see me camping through the UK winter, but we'll see.

You're in the UK? Lacquer your snapdeck. It's not very well water proofed. But load capacity should be no problem. I measure the mass of loads I've hauled in the hundreds of pounds.
