New Year's 2006/07 in Seoul

We arrived at City Hall mere minutes before the countdown, the crowds were huge and the insanity is quite apparent in the video. The bell you can hear is gigantic and is struck many, many times at the stroke of midnight...all in all one of the craziest experiences of my life. Roman candles were fired off by the thousands...ash was falling everywhere, on clothes, in our eyes, in my hair.

Beautiful memories eh? I was just a block or two away along the bank of the creek, letting off my candles w everyone else. What a city! Where in the states can you walk by a column of paramilitary riot police carrying an armload of explosives?

verry nice! I can't even imagine what it would've been like there. I've been to seoul city hall, but with so many people and all the fireworks it's unrecognizable!
