  • I wonder if this interview occured after Pete's horrific STP trip after Monterey. I think it did come after, because he's talking about wanting to have such a positive influence on society,

  • This interview was broadcasted on Dutch televison on 28 july 1967 so, very well possible. See updated details

  • "sure hes cute, but thats cuz we know him in a way"

Right, but I think what makes someone "hot" is a combination of looks and personality/charisma. IMO a "cute" with personality is hotter than just a guy with perfect looks but nothing else to make him stand out. I actually prefer unique-looking guys over the usual underwear model types. Anyway...attraction is pretty subjective. I'm just saying don't tell somebody not to express their opinion.

  • I always felt that Townshend was the most intellectually advanced of all the 60's British rockers (including Lennon).

  • i love this! :) he is so.. cute.. :) I really have always liked his eyes for some reason... and his hands... and face... and guitar... haha

  • 3:59 Didn't he wear that necklace on "The Who Sell Out" album cover?

  • love, love love it. He's so innovative. pushing rythmn and blues to the mainstream - they eventually got it. Pete is awesome all the time.

  • "I can't work out if they were contemporarys or quite different scenes."

Both! That was the beauty of it--the bands liked each other and were hard-assed competetive with each other too. Not like today.

  • Happy Birthday Townshend! 5/19/09

Rock music wouldn't have been the same without your brain.

  • yeah he ovbviously likes them quite a bit. The version sounds really weird though. Less rock i think, but the groovy tune isnt there plus is there tamborines in too?

  • I like this interview. Intresting what he says about the beatles, yardbirds and the rolling stones.

I cant work out if they were contemporarys or quite different scenes.

  • thats fine...you can come! lol

  • Good plan. I might have to steal it. :)

  • Just all of him is amazing! I love Pete!
