so where has science got us this past 100 years?? reduced to bits of dna and genes. nothing more than the material? capable of being merged with machines? transhumanism anyone? nobodies unless we're somebodies? a random rock orbiting a ball of nuclear fusion? science was created to kill belief in God. created to kill belief that every move we made and every decision we took mattered. do you like the result?

I have a very hard time believing Wells actually thought this was a utopia, scary stuff. To me,it foreshadows the horrible unthinkable human right abuses that would occur under the Nazis. It is a sociopath who would send young healthy people into space, to colonize what? When we have successfully colonized lands on Earth, it has been difficult enough. In space, we are deliberately trying to go where there is no life at all, but at this point it does seem like people have being getting more and

"....we are about to break out into space...."
Remote control cars on mars and shitters that don't work on the space station for the cost of a few tens of billions?
The nearest star (incidentally with no planets) is FOUR LIGHTYEARS away? The nearest star that might have planet 40 lightyears away. And we're "just breaking out"?
People riddled with cancer for even slight variances from healthful living but we're going to inhabit a radiation filled outer space with a snap of the fingers?

I agree - well said.
The sheeple will wake up one day. The word will spread & the tipping point will be reached thanks to the internet - the freedom to say what you want. "V for Vendetta" touches on this where the public laugh a the news and ridicule it.
The answer is PEACE

Now we know how the left wing democratics and the religious wacked right wing nuts of the republican party conspired to destroy our Apollo Missions and the idea of creating colonies beyond Earth---Thank You to all the wing nuts who destroyed America Manned Space Missions and our future hms in space.

I love this movie so much. And in spite of its many erroneous predictions, it gets so much right -- including the irrational revolt against "all this science" just as we are ready to break out into space.

that gunsite looks mighty crude...

science is a tool not a magic wand...

makes you think just because we can dose that mean we should
you .are not part of this future
& this "planed" future is not my mantra
the endgame is not good for the elites either.
we need an intelliectualrevolution ,where people think for themselves.
as to- "the mob " stopping this...........you are the strawman................
the mob will go whichever way the wind blows, and for the first time in history information is available as fascism has to made evident. so a small % of people are needed
Freedom ,is individuality

Yes, that's right... Make a convincing argument about how stupid we all are to listen to science and how we should see it your way, by calling us stupid!
How's that working out for you? God, if there are elites taking over? Fine! So be it, if were smart enough to stop it, then we would have now, but you know what you sound like? Like the guy who convinced all those people in the movie to destroy the space-gun.
