  • SERIOUSLY GUYS? I have been using Podium bottles for the last few years and they are really tough to truly keep clean. The steps you describe are the BARE MINIMUM required to keep these bottles clean. The REAL PROBLEM is that under the blue Jet Valve, water & particulates can fester if not properly flushed after every event. This forms a heavy layer of mold which is just gross. You have to pop the ring off the jet valve carefully to remove it and scrub entirely. Great bottles, Tedious work!

  • Watsonjoel is right on the money below. That ring absolutely MUST be removed periodically and camelbak would be doing a great service to its users to carefully show a video of the proper way to remove the ring, clean what is underneath and replace the ring with no loss of performance or deterioration of the valve. Please don't yank our chains c-bak, we're all big boys and girls, we love the bottle, just stop pretending. The insulated ones rule! :-)
