Look at all the kids claiming their faster, and that this should be more... 6.5/7 sec 0-60 is more than enough fun, and wont be in the junk yard after some kid kills it in 10,000km. Speed isn't why you buy a car...Unless your a professional race car driver(or 16 and stupid)? So shut the fuck up and enjoy the growl.

One day,you will learn following : First, supercharger is a name of unit that compresses air,and turbine is only a name of supercharger propellant.Turbo Superchargers can often be heard with a sharp,possibly (hell no ! ) annoying whistle around it's peak pressure.There are superchargers connected to crank,and they are supersilent. However,this here is a turbo supercharger,and you CAN hear whistle,very easily. If you don't hear it...well,try some practice or get new speakers

@MrSevvo what?!?!?! 0-60 10 SEC ON A 2.8 vr6? That is SLOW!!! the manual time is a bit better but from a 2.8 vr6 I would expect more. Till feb I had a 86 GTI that did 0-100kmh (0-60) in 8.5 completely stock (manual) I heard that for the money and engine size the vr6 isnt that much better than a gti but damn, I didnt know it was that slow... Then on the other hand if you prefer top speed the vr6 kills a gti :)
Gotta love the Golfs, my fav car, couple month and im getti a 89 gti :) can't wait

People who are commenting that they can't hear the 'charger whine, you do know they make different types of Superchargers, some of which are absolutely silent.

yeah man i dont know whats wrong with most of the people here. I drive the car because I love it. The MK3 vr6 speedo changed at 1995, thats why it stoppes at 240. At least do some research before u post idiotic comments like that. btw I once drove it to 260 on gps and it still had like 500 rpm left... well dont believe me if u want, after all your not the one to drive it... I am.
