@RollersPostulate It is NOT a CB it is a HAM RADIO which reqiures a license if you want to transmit. This model is a VX-6 made by Yaesu. These are about $300 new

@keoghjacob I did some research and the frequency is 490.000mhz which is in the TV band. Could it be doppler radar used by a TV station?
