The refurbishment of Ken Byng's 40 yr old Sho-Bud Pro III ..on getting the guitar back form me he laid down this track so I thought the best way to show it off was to put this slide show together, lovely playing Ken.. on a lovely PSG
Absolutely gorgeous! I have always loved the cabinet work on these old Sho-Buds.
Makes me wish I had my very first steel back home again, a Sho-Bud crossover D-10. I would have the undercarriage modded to reduce weight, add more changes, increase reliability, and also have every metal part polished. Too late to think about it now.
I'm glad to see that thesewonderful guitars are making a comeback.
WOW! Thanks for posting this! Do you have to replace some parts or just polish the old ones up? Also, can you still find those decals? Such an amazing instrument!
I was in the "British Steelies" club in the 80's--(That.s why your name is familiar). I bought my Sho-Bud from another Member . Nice to hear you playing.
Very nice. How did you get the parts underneath so shiny? I didn't know plain steel could that good! I have an old 'Professional' i'd like to clean up.
Beautifully restored, but more than that very very very tasteful playing Ken. I love it when a musician has the self control not to go all beserk in the second half of a song .
You played that with the exquisite taste that the song deserves.

Thanks for the kind comments folks. The guitar is just being fine-tuned by Sho~Bud guru Ron Mawn.
I will try to get around to do a live video on the guitar.
