my 20 sorc never took spell focuses ur a nuker u just nukem wizards are the classes that gets more dc on their spells

@burstengravity the focus is just for the early levels. At 20th you can make use of spell focus: evocation again since epic stuff has a massive save and a half damage nuke = crappy nuke. So pump that DC to 40 =)

@kamykerDDOpl niacs and acid blast are both conjuration spells. In order for you to hit stuff early on, do conjuration focus.

Past 8th level, respec out of conjuration focus and pick something else but until then you will LOVE niacs.

what's the fastest way to select your target with auto-target off? Do you use the 'select next target' button? or do you just click on them?

I click on things I HAVE to target (casters), whenever possible though I try to nuke without targeting. (fireball, burning hands, cone of cold, etc)

I think what you did is a matter of opinion. i am currently working on a lvl 10 warforged sorcerer. 25 charisma 23 con 8 dex you dont really need dex and you dont need spell focus. spell focus is for later lvls i think. and when i was 1-5 lvl sorcerer i just had empower with the empower enhancements and spammed burning hands. it worked out great. then when i got to lvl 6 i used a combo of fire ball and the wand fire ball. it saved mana and that worked great also. i didnt take any spell focus

I think it's actually more common to take burning hands or acid spray instead of shocking grasp, so no, you don't need those spells.
