Satriani is no1.but at his level he doesnt need to compete-everyone knows he is the guru of all gurus.Vai for me personally is no1 now-i guess satriani will be satriani with his blues based and structured guitar playing while vai tortures his axe to the max-thats his own unique style

steve vai is a guitar ledgend, hes my guitar hero...hes the best guitarist in the world.................and satriani is my second fave they are both awesome

steve vai is amazing and he is a legend but he cannot be the best overall because satriani taught vai therefore satch is better overall. Steve vai in my opinion won this round though=)
