You will be my source of strength Mike as I embark on my journey to France and into the Legion. I will always remember you as someone that taught not by fear, or anger, but by genuine love of teaching. Mike you will always be remembered. I may have been to young at the time when I served with you to really handle the Army. I figure these next 5 years in the Legion will make up for what I owe you. See you again someday!

Yes....I was in the Humvee when he passed. I will never forget him. When he first got to Germany I was the first person from the unit to greet him. He was so proud and happy. I will never forget him.

Hi Ma'am,
I am extremely proud to have known your son. We joined at the same time and arrived in Germany together. And yes he was a very proud Bandit and we all missed him when he passed.

Great video - would love to know where you obtained it. My son, PFC Shawn Pahnke, was the first casualty of the 1st AD in Iraq. He was proud to be a Bandit.
