I have been wanting to make a tutorial for a while, and i got good inspiration from CorsairAMV 'AMVlogs'. So I will follow along his footsteps.

Here I will be talking about Still Image Sequence in Sony Vegas. This is something i learn from my good friend Katie, but like I said in the video, everyone had different ways of importing mask and masking.

Be sure to watch Corsair's videos here: http://www.youtube.com/user/CorsairAMV

Please comment and ask questions. Thanks for watching

  • Reu, disable resample to remove frame blending. :P

  • @StrawberryKissStudio i actually do that. just didn't cover it here, since i want to keep the video short. but if you look closely the clip I render has it disable, cuz i did it before I started recording, but the clip I showed as the final product doesn't cuz I forgot to and had already begun recording, but thanks XDDD

  • Oh Question: Can we render it in...like wmv or mp4 and then import? or only mov. works?

Plus which version of photoshop do you have? O_O i dont think i have an import video option in mine. D:

  • @AyeshaRaees Well MOV works the best, if you have the proper codecs you can also import MP4 or even other formats, but usually MOV what you use. I have Photoshop CS5, I believe anything after CS3 should be able to import videos

  • Can you turn the whole clip pink and shoot bunches of flowers out of people's mouths?

  • @Uskdara XP we shall see next time XDDDD

  • Thanks man, as Cosair said, you're a good man ;P THanks again. :P

  • Sweet log :D if only I had Sony Vegas :P

  • I seem to have a problem. I have downloaded and installed quicktime, but Sony Vegas still would not render as .mov. Upon seeing the other comments and that it could work as .wmv, I tried to import it into photoshop and it said I did not have quicktime. How do I fix this?

  • I have a problem, when i take my image sequence and put it over another video clip, every few frames it disappears for 1 frams. so when you play it, it flashes all over and stuff. Any ideas on how to fix?

  • Please, just tell me, because I have real problems with masking and you did a complicated movement mask in 10 seconds - what tool did you use to mask the picture :O Cuz it automatically detected the lines of the person and it looks way more simple that I've ever imagined somebody could mask. So, please?

  • Ahh I actually have a question. Can you also export it as a QuickTime video and then import it into Vegas or is it better to do it the other way?

  • I've been trying to do this for like... a full year. I mean, I knew how to do it after my friend showed it to me but I couldn't think of an easy way to do it, you know xD

So, I thank you from the bottom of my heart ♥ C:

  • You are my hero *_*

  • Oh my gosh... haha you just made my life 10 times easier. As a person who just has movie studio which is not enabled with a masking tool but also has photoshop, you just taught me how to mask hahaha THANKS

  • I love you, this is incredibly helpful!

    Thank you so much!

  • Oh,I Never knew that! =O

    Thanks a lot! XD

  • OMG THANK YOU for this tutorial!

I didn't know it was possible to import ( I always used the snapshot thingy to mask under GIMP ).

Thanks to you I can finally make good masks, THANKS! :'3

  • @TheDarkReu Yeah, I notice the PNG sequence doesn't look like there's frame blending. So yeah, cool.
