At the end of this month, July 29th specifically, it will be 10 years since I shot this performance at Tom and Donna Joyner's wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I've seen Charlie at a number of events since but this one is special because he was out of the spotlight for so many tumultuous years and he was just starting to come back. Icon200. When I shot this at Tom and Donna Joyner's wedding in July 2000 in Montego Bay, Jamaica, I felt that everyone who appreciates him and Gladys Knight should get to see what real R&B is about. Charlie didn't know I was going to do this but I'm sure he doesn't object because is a truly a "Soul Man".

Now Charlie needs to be ashamed, for putting every young male vocalist, who think they can sing, to rest. This is singing, it gives you goose-bumps, like music should. Unlike the beat concentrated foolery, they (new male artist) have been making since the mid-90's. BRING MUSIC BACK CHARLIE!
