@josephknightcom Merriam-Webster(.)com audio also has it as "best". Dictionary(.)com audio has it as "best or beest". The pronunciation guide is in those places use a short-e, and a long-e alternate.
This is just a case of dialect anyways, as in the potato pronunciations I mentioned... :)

@basmithtx Sorry, that pronunciation on google is actually wrong. It is "BEES" just as in the written pronunciation guide. 'e' with a bar over it is pronounced as the letter itself, 'EE'. I agree that it appears "best" due to the missing 'a', but don't let that mislead you.

@josephknightcom Go to Google, type "define bestiary"... the first bit that pops up should include a speaker to say the word. Click on it... :) Presumably if it was "BEES" in sound, it would retain the "a" from beast in it's spelling; as it is, it seems natural that the "best" in bestiary sounds like best.
Either way, remember: po-tay-toh, po-tah-toh, sir!

What's the deal with "Mission 2012: Lose Weight" as a recommeded video?
