@DJBerserk While I agree with you about it being a popularity contest, it mattered enough at the time to make international news. Adults care. They just pretend like they don't to save face. I'm well over 13, and I care enough to be interested. If it's only for kids, don't you find it ironic that both of us are still interested enough in the 2009 VMA awards show to make a comment on YouTube about it in 2012? Don't underestimate the fact that adults are really just big kids.
