Kirstenlee Cinquetti, the creator of Kirstens Viewer, has implemented 3D in the viewer. I tested it at Alpha Point sim - you will need 3D (blue and red) glasses to see the full effect.
I found a pretty good framerate, switching off avatar impostor/shadows/water reflections/particles - and drawdistance was actually pretty much maxed out, as were my other settings.

Graphic cards: 2 xNvidia geforce 560GTXti, i7 (750) processor and 24 DDR3 GB ram. FPS was on average 22, not bad at all at this sim.
(btw make sure to visit Alpha Point).

Thanks, Dawny and Kirstenlee, for letting me test and film this ;o)))
Looks like 3D has come to machinima.

  • I thought that 22 fps was bad for your hardware, but then I just TP'd there with my crummy GTX260 and stared at 11 FPS! Good video, by the way :)

  • perfect sad song for the closing of Kirstens viewer :( RIP

  • cool! i like it. works great with 3d-glasses

  • wait you don't need a special screen to see this effect?

sorry if thats a dumb question.

  • !!!!! That is way more awesome than I expected - the 3D effect was quite vivid and your chosen build and camming made it more so.

  • if we would get grayscale anaglyphs that would be cool

    nice job chantal

  • To enable 3D player add this code for meta users select anaglyph yt3d:enable=true

  • wow very awesome! and the 3d glasses work too!! :D great job

  • Wow... Super ! ! !

  • OUTSTANDING prformance by Kirstenlee & Dawny. Kudos to Mama to for the film hehe
