@atheniandp What year is your ANRI Strat since it has a paper thin finish without being a Thin skin / FSR?

@vizcacha5 They do have poly.. there's a poly based sealer.. every guitar has a sealer, 63 pre cbs strats had poly sealer as well, and before that they used some other kind of sealer. You can't just spray nitro on wood, the wood will soak it up. What matters in my opinion is the thickness of the finish, my AVRI strat has a really thin one although its not part of the "thin skin" series.. it is paper thin. Thicker finishes darken up your sound I think; less woodiness and darker tone.
