They are rare indeed, but from time to time a curly tail will come into rehab. The curl doesn't show up until they are a little older and this little girl is just starting to curl. Once the process is over she will still be able to curl and uncurl, but will mostly carry her tail curled. These raccoons are tiny because they are from the lower Keys and Key West. They will only reach 6 pounds tops.

Absolutely precious. One cannot appreciate how smart and curious these guys are until you have lived with them up close.
