It sounds like there are several overdubbed lines within the intro lead alone. I could be crazy but that what I'm hearing. No one will ever get the sound of that lead ever again.

I'm pretty sure this is definitely Eddie Van Halen playing on this guitar track. And if it isn't, this is the best cover version of this song EVER. But again, I certainly don't doubt this is Eddie.

@MOSKII58 The solos are the only part he was using the strat with the non-locking tremelo for--the rhythm throughout the rest of the song is his fixed bridge Explorer. The solos are punched in separately after the main guitar was recorded.
