@bryleerae, I do know what I'm talking about actually and I don't see how anything in your comment changes one thing. In training exercises you have to act out REAL LIFE emergencies. So that would mean answering the call 'AA emergency line, please state your emergency'. You would then go through the exercise.

@jtking2504 This is an EXCERPT... the full transcript of the call between Nydia, who is a Supervisor at the AA reservations, and the American Airlines Emergency Line begins with AA Emergency answering the call as "AA emergency line, please state your emergency". Then Nydia explains that she has Betty Ong on the line from Flight 11, etc. THIS recorded EXCERPT is directly after that. Wow, so you're a flight attendant who doesn't know what they're talking about.

This is flight emergency TRAINING. All flight attendants do this. I have also personally done emergency training for a day where we had actors on the phone pretending to be in distress and it was our job to relay all the right information and get information from them. This sounds pretty much like the drills we did that day. Notice at start of call operator is not shocked when she says 'we have someone stabbed' he just says 'flight 11?' as if expecting it, not 'someone stabbed?'. It's a drill.

@NEKO2BOT how could he have been shot? NO one (even back in 2001) could get on board with a GUN! He was stabbed it was confirmed by Betty because the first class flight attendants saw his wound to the neck! And in the midst of confusion and fear I'm sure Betty accidentally said flight 12, its understandable given the fear and chaos that was around her and what she was going through. That hardly means she was never on a plane. You people really need to get lives and respect the dead!
