10-12-09: PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH US, TO HELP US ALL in the battle to QUIT SMOKING these cigarettes. Thank You
I had to stop take Chantix on Day five due to a weird depression type feeling WHILE I WAS STILL SMOKING!

So I quit smoking with nicotine patches and gum, and started smoking again. 7-30-09 UPDATE: It lasted about 5 days, and I ended up smoking agian.

As in the video I am on Day 1 and using Zyban, and nictonine supplents

Message to Christians: I have read and heard so many Christians feeling so much quilt because they are smoking, and can't seem to quit. First of all - NO ONE should be feeling guilty of trying to quit an addiction because YOU want to.
I have seen way to much legalism in Religion and Churches, condemning those who smoke and that is straight out UN-BIBLICAL period.
If someone or organization is telling you that you have to quit smoking to do this or that, or get closer to God...run from the lie and hit your knees and just pray to Jesus Christ. It is the personal 1 on 1 relationship which will help you! You can not get wrapped up in any type of legalism what so ever! NEVER quit smoking if your not ready, regardless what others may say! God is not looking down on you with a whip. I have been walking with Jesus Christ for 5-1/2 years now, and He helped rid me of so many drug and alcohol addictions. Now God just gently tugged on my heart and asking me if I would quit now...
So bottom line - Christianity is NOT legalism. There are brothers out there that love Jesus with all their heart and still smoke! This is not to encourage anyone to keep on smoking if the feel God tugging at them, but to just tell you that no one should ever feel pressured or quilty when trying to quit smoking! God will tug at you when it's time, or if you really want to quit for yourself..then start tugging on God.

I decided to post a video after 25 years of smoking, to help get a CHANTiX REVIEW out there. It has a very good success rate 44% - but the #1 side effect is depression. ALSO I have studied up on ZYBAN or Wellbutrin, to help aid in the quitting of smoking. THERE ARE MANY ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY tools out there that work, however it also depends on the individual who is quitting smoking. What your motivation is, what medications you can or can not take, and even in combonations of medications and Nicotine products.

  • Can't take the pills because they interact with my other meds, gum doesn't work, neither has the inhalers. I find the patches do work but need a solution to keep them on. If you sweat they come off. I'm on day 4 but frustrated as I've alreadty applied 2 today. If anyone has a solution please let me and others know. Thanks :) Well done for quitting Todd. Thanks for posting.

  • Are you using genereic patches? If so, get Nicoderm... I have a video posted all about "generic patches" and how they don't stay on.. you can use, duct tape and that will keep generic patches on, but I hate using duct tape because it does not do the skin good after a few times.

NICODERM is the best, and will not fall off!

I will send you a message!

    Todd

  • Also, dont forget to use RUBBING ALCOHOL, to clean your skin before applying the patch..

  • oh, and another good way to quit is....

everytime you get a craving, masturbate.

  • That's funny, I found that to be just the opposite!

I have found the most effective way to kick that craving for a cig down is to pray, pray and pray to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He does not only help take the craving away, He helps to take it ALL away!

It's much better than going through endless bottles of hand lotion!

  • i am quting it and so far its been 1 day and i am using nicotine gum . can some one introduce me the side effect of nicotine gum and how to chew it

  • There is really no side effect, except you don't want to actually chew the gum, but chew it just enough to release the nicotine, and then let it sit under your tounge or on the side of your mouth for about 5 minutes, then chew it a couple times, and put the gum in a different spot for another 5 min.

I actually used the patch, and would chew the nic gum, when I had really bad cravings during the first week..

So, you don't want to chew nic gum like regular gum, otherwise it does not work.

  • I'm 26 and have been smoking half a pack a day for 10 years. Nicotine patches work the best for me!!!!! I have quit twice using it with zero side effects, only happiness that it works so well!! I have tried Chantix (Champax in Canada) and it worked... But I have never felt worse In My life! It changed my personality in a negative way and my close friends and family made me stop taking it. I tried cold turkey, hypnosis, and the gum, and none of these worked for me. Good luck to everyone quit

  • I used the patches and they make me puke the gum sets my tics off because I have tourhetts Im really looking foward to chantix

  • I like what you said in the video and on the info about not feeling guilt about being a Christian and smoking, people who do may not be reading the Bible. However, God does help those who help themselves and I have found that kicking the denial always helps. I think everyone has a different method, it was psychological for me- the puff, the mood or coffee/beer. At the end of the day- we know it's never too late....till it really is. God bless you brother

  • Read Allen Carr's Easyway to stop smoking! Would you say to the heroine addict who's actually smoking the heroine no don't smoke it, smoking's bad for you; here instead inject it into your vein...? Nicotine patches prolong your addiction. The longest I 'lasted' on Zyban was 3 days and when the treatment was over I was still smoking. After reading Allen's book I quit immediately, easily and I was actually waking up laughing even during the 'withdrawal period'... 16 yrs of slavery over and FREE!

  • remember, anything is possible, God bless

  • I quit smoking almost 7 yrs now after 22 years of smoking.I used to smoke menthol light 100s.I was told to start smoking regular light cigarettes and i was told i would smoke more, but after smoking lights for a while i went back to my normal usage.I discovered that it was just as I heard "you need to really want to quit". I prayed alot over the years and I started chewing the new mint flavored nicotine gum and that worked for me.Before I was sick 7,8 x a year and now it's either once or zero.

  • @GemPiece yeah 5 months quit, but im still chewing the gum and i shouldnt of after july 4th, but it takes longer for some. it helped

  • @ma5one did you stay quit??

  • @mary03450 yeah i know exactly what u mean, i work out in the sun and this happened to me, they dont come cheap, and i was using them up too quick becuase after i sweat, they "melt" and even if i can get them to stick, they dont work anymore even if its 2 hours old. i used duct tape believe it or not out of common sence, haha but it just made the whole area sweaty and gross.

  • wot the fuck stop smoking its easy read allen carrs book and u will realize this is corporate drug companies keeping u hooked on their shit to keep u hooked wise up sheeple nicotine is not a difficult xdrug to quit its all in ur head please believe me i smoked for 25 yrs and read a book by allen carr and i will never ever ever put a cig n e where near my head let alone my mouth its a con big styleu r being deluded
