I believe in free will-I think we choose to do what we do for whatever reason. But I think the gods often intervene. But I think that before we live this life, they have our destinys mapped out for us.Its like I think we choose the route, but they have already chosen the destination.I think we're able to make choices ourselves, but what happens can only happen if the gods give it the thumbs up.So we do have free will, but they have our fates mapped out. Its hard for me to explain, great video Sy. x

Heres my point: If they are all knowing, and know everything before it happens, then why bother? what is the point?
I believe that we do have free will, that is what makes this life interesting, just to see what happens next, ya? You can read your runes or your divination anything and get a general idea about where your path is heading but the choices you make make the future subjective. Does that make sense? Its like reading the end of a book before you read the rest of the story.

@shazzypbear thank you for the response :), and ya when he does that now I say to my self "just because he says somethings not true, doesnt mean it isnt" science and religion can go in hand. Thanks for the thoughtful words and blessed be :)

I think it depends on your perspective. From the God's perspective he already knows what you will do. But from your perspective, since you are not all knowing, it is still up to you to make a choice. For example Thoth may have known you'd pick Fanta but at the moment you were making the decision in time YOU still had the freewill to decide whatever you wanted. I think this changes if you believe in fate though. Because that would mean the choices you make are not your own.

I wouldn't say someone knowing what you’re going to do before you do it means you have no free will. Kind of like if you see a movie you then know every decision that’s going to be made but that does take away the characters free will. Although I feel like I might be misunderstanding. What’s your definition of free will. My definition is having the ability to make choices that come from the seat of the soul or Hrit padma. :)

Awesome! Great explanations of these different beliefs. It does seem like they all have a common root in love, honesty and kindness. :)
ooh, this is a great topic, and something I was planning to do a video on. Well done! I'll do a VR to this after Christmas (way too hectic atm). Have a blessed Yule/Christmas celebration!

I live with a person who studies philosophie and they always say they are an atheist and rub it in my face. What do you do when people put you down, because I cannot take it when I get put down. I was making dinner and putting healing energy in it then he broke my concentrate and said "did you bless this?" then started to laugh, im like wow! any suggestions

@AbombProductions1 Poor thing, he makes atheists look bad. Buddhists are atheists. "Let them do or believe what they want, only honour the self." - Can't remember who quoted that... sorry! But don't listen to him and whatever you do do let it get to you. Let him put you down. At least you've experienced knowledge that he won't.
