Hi, I'm an aspiring naval aviator who wants to fly the F/A-18F. I am a Junior in high school planning on going to a 4 year college with an ROTC program and I will be enrolled in that. Do I need to pass certain test(s) before I can be accepted for API? And then what do I do after API? Do I go to Pensacola, FL to start ground school and flight training?

I'm already commissioned (USMC) and waiting to go to TBS and then on to Pensacola to be a pilot. Can anyone with experience as a naval/marine corps pilot give me some tips or resources to look over in preparation for what's to come?

Hey I noticed some of the water survival training in the ocean and the guy getting picked up by the helo. Does everyone in the class have to sit out in the open water and wait to get picked up by a helo like that? (Marine Corps Officer Candidate/AIR Contract)

p.s. TERRIFIED of sharks... That's why I ask.
