  • I'm from Brazil and I've listened many americans sing in brazilian portuguese and I want to say that it is very hard to find a foreign who speaks our language with fluency , well I don't know if she speaks brazilian portuguese but here she is perfect , flawless , seriously it is the first time I've listened an american singing brazilian portuguese with perfect accent , what got my attention here is the flow , cadence and fluency which is just as hard as the accent and she did it perfect.

  • I'm Brazilian, thus a Portuguese native speaker, but Esperanza speaks Portuguese better than me LOL awesome recreation in this Milton Nascimento's song

  • Can someone translate what she is saying?

  • awesome!!!

  • @zxcasd098 Ms Spalding happens to speak Spanish and Portuguese because they were spoken along with english in her home as she grew up, as they are part of her heritage from her mother and father...... Her music is GREAT!..And Portuguese and Spanish are also both music to the ear!

  • saw her on U.S. Television...Absolutely wonderful!...I have been an electric bass player for years, but now I have ordered my first string bass....very excited!

  • I like the size of the dislike bar ^^

  • @vexedboy It's a sad and poetical portrait of a small town or village that once was prosperous and joyful because it was the final stop of a railroad track. The track linked the Brazilian states of Minas Gerais and Bahia, so the town was an important commercial spot. The tracks were removed (maybe by the govt., or a company) and the town was left to oblivion. Some they say it's a true story, I can't tell for sure!

    Cheers!

  • @luizcadu Hey Luiz Thanks for this translation. Indeed a pretty sounding language, but then what's it about? And this is more than just "your lips are sweet" (nothin wrong with that of course)

  • @HuggumsMcgehee It's a tabla. Hindu's drum.

  • Amazing portuguese pronounciation!!!! Almost no accent and a beatiful voice!
