Now check this: 2 years ago i used to have an ibook g3. On the day i bought an ipod touch 2g the backlight started to pass out. That's why i bought a new laptop 1.5 years ago. and guess what: I got an iphone for xmas and my new laptops backlight is fucked up now, too. WTF

My 1st iBook screen crashed after 13 months. Had to buy new one (G4) This worked for 5 years, then wouldn't boot. I wanted to replace it but Apple don't do System 9, so I had a go at tampering. SOLUTION: A carpenter's cramp was used to clamp it to my desk. Hey Presto! It now boots. I tried the same to that old iBook & that now works! I now have 2 make-shift laptops & can still use my beloved Pagemaker & Pagemill & access my old files. CONCLUSION: System 9 GREAT! System10 & Apple quality: CRAP
