That holding wood by hand of second human is very dangerous. He dont know safety rules and making clever. I am scared of this video. The chisel is very edge tool for cut your artery.

@GerryHuman whats wrong with african american art? or african art in general if thats what you mean i think it looks nice with the natrual and some times exagerated figures you seem very rasist or ignorant every culture has a from of art that may not look nice but you need to look for the things that do look nice to you and if its the people you dont like im 100% positive there are millions of good people of in every culture and even the "bad" ones have good aspects

man what kind of wood are these carvers using?? I always see this light wood with hardly any grain or tearing. I have carved with friggin boxcutters and got less of a clean cut than this.

The wood is bass wood, it is soft and easy to carve using hand tools.
