Hi! Say, do you grow ressurection plants? Any experience with them? I have a black thumb and trying to correct that with avacados....I already discovered I was all wrong so thanks for that. I think your pineapple is awesome too. :) Thanks and please join my Fb too. Robianne Wilkins

dumb question, but if i want to grow one, how do i know if it will bear fruit? i saw another video where this guy was showing how to grow them and then at the end he was like "these are purely ornamental, they won't produce." i definitely want avocados on mine!!

@sarahsuemarieme Seed grown avocados will bear fruit. They will just not taste the same as the fruit you got it from. Also, they do take longer to produce fruit, maybe add a couple or so more years because you are starting from scratch. Those that you buy from the store are already grown in about a year or two ahead. Maybe the video you saw, he wasn't planning on keeping it for a long time? Maybe he just want's to keep it as an indoor plant. With that said, go ahead and grow yourself one! =)

@sarahsuemarieme Keep in mind, you need another avocado tree around because they don't self polinate. :)

When setting in water, how do you know top from bottom?

@MrandMissConverted Usually there's always a pointy end and a flat end. The flatter end is the bottom. Sometimes the bottom might have a dent.

what is beter to put it in a plastic bag in a wet paper towel and leave it in sunlight or leave it on water in sunlight

@MrLilslinkey I recommend the water in a cup/container method for avocados. Also, don't put it in direct sunlight, it will burn the seed. Your avocado seed will thrive in partial sunlight or indirect sunlight.
