Fox 23 News in Albany on Legalizing MMA in New York

Like many old school pro wrestling fans I've migrated to MMA. There's a big movement to legalize MMA in my home state of New York. Here's a story from a local news station in Albany (the NYS State Capitol) about the effort to legalize MMA and UFC. Interesting perspective from the Akido student. Personally I can't wait for this to pass and will be counting the days until they run a show in Buffalo.

New York is one of the most dysfunctional states in the country. The ban on MMA is such a joke.... imagine the money it would bring in at MSG and especially in Buffalo.

the paralysis of a competitor is a reason to NOT have MMA? well then pull the plug on the Giants, the Jets, the Yankess, the Mets, and every other sport that takes place in NY. and we certainly can't have the Olympics. skaters getting their faces cut, bob sledders dying, decathalon runners becoming dehydrated and hurting themselves; all these sports must go... especially b/c there is a RISK of injury. so is walking across the street, but that's an easy fix, just ban cars! ur an idiot Bob.

I don't know for sure about that place, but at many gyms where I've been a lot of clubs share the facilities using a rolling schedule, simply to save some money on rent.
