Broadway West Theatre Company proudly presents David Auburn's PROOF. Proof is the story of a young woman named Catherine. She is the daughter of Robert, a brilliant mathematician, who misplaces both his brilliance and his sanity in his later years. Catherine, a budding mathematician herself, must give up her schooling and her most creatively productive years in order to take care of her father. When a former student of her father's comes to examine his papers hoping to find valuable material in his notebooks, a romance blossoms. He also finds a notebook that contains a very important mathematical discovery and the question of whose work is in the notebook is raised. Enjoy this terrific show! Directed by Drew Campbell. Awesome! Everyone did great...Catherine nailed the anger...but I felt her character could have been a bit softer. The character is a bit more fragile than that. If she would have softened up a bit, there would have been the perfect contrast of anger and sadness. Still, I enjoyed watching...and my opinion doesn't much matter. :)

bless you. We're working on this script in class (scene design I) and i was having a hard time staying motivated to read it until i found this here. Robert was actually what i envisioned. Before I watched this i described my idea of him to my professor and when i said belly we got into a classroom argument over it. ha! now i feel validated. Thank you Mr. Harkness. And thank you Broadway West Theatre Company for this great preformance and placing it on Youtube!
