Bought a pretty cheap plasma cutter of'n ebay, and the first one didn't work well at all. Sent it back, still under warranty, and they sent me another, and this one works like a charm. Since I made a video of the first one not working that well, thought I'd make another to show that the can work quite well. I'm happy with it..

  • Yo, what is the smallest diameter hole you could cut in a piece of steel? Like if you just pulled the trigger momentarily and didn't move it what would you be left with?

  • @ibleed1 Tiny! Pin hole size. This burner works fine with thin metal, but it's a struggle to cut thick stuff..

  • how long did it actually take you to cut 1 corner (2 pcs = 1 corner). Hard to tell what to expect really cause video seems to speed up.

    How thick was that steel?

How many amps is your cutter?

What thickness can your cutter cut?

    what's the brand name?

Does anyone have opinion of a Harbor Freight plasma cutter?, namely chicago electric, item # 97994. ?

    Thanks for your video.

  • @ICUC007 It's a LOTOS 40. 220 amp. Probably took a minute or two, not sure. It's not a fast cutter. Works good on small stuff. I'd rather have a larger one but can't afford more than what I've got and I get by with it pretty well.. Uses up the ceramic tips pretty fast. Don't know anything about the Harbor Freight one. sorry.

  • are you running that 120 volts or 220? trying to find out how this runs on 120 volts.

  • 220

  • its cool youre working on cars. I was wondering, what size compressor you running. i got a little 3 gal one. when doing spray on drywall texture, i only get to spray for about 15 seconds tops then have to wait bout 90 seconds to get back to the 70psi zone. sucks.

I thought I'd do a little follow up. I bought this same cutter and it works great. If you are watching this video and thinking about getting one, stop thinking and just buy it, you won't regret it. Make sure your fittings are good and tight on both ends of the torch hose though, mine came loose inside the torch handle and damaged the threads when it arced inside. Make sure the fittings are tight and you won't have any problems.
