Industry experts have predicted that Adobe software, including PDF Reader and Flash, will overtake Microsoft to become the biggest target for malware writers in 2010.
PDF (portable document format) files have JavaScript (in simple terms a programming language used to allow the development of more dynamic websites) enabled by default, this can allow malicious code to be executed when opened, allowing remote control of your computer and the usual malicious intent.
