I could have this wrong, but I think Stewart Hamblin wrote this song. I know he sang a version, as did the Statler Brothers, also Rosemary Cluny if you can believe. This is a neat version, but the Statlers' one with their awesome bass singer takes the prize. It was on their album "Before Facial Hair."

What a gem from a talented man. His voice really rocked the timbers. A one of a kind from a great variety show like "Lawrence Welk." Mr. Welk could spot true talent and signed them up for his show.

I always loved the Lawrence Welk show and Larry Hooper was my favorite male cast member when I was a kid watching with my grandparents. He was also a VERY talented Piano player and was featured many times for his playing abilities. THANKS for posting this treasure!!!!
