1961 Evinrude Fisherman 5.5 HP

This is my 1961 Evinrude Fisherman 5.5 hp outboard motor. Don't let the looks fool you this is one of the best running, dependable, and easy to maintain motors out there. I replaced the impeller, rebuilt the carb., replaced both coils, and changed the gear oil. The motor starts easily and idles down real nice, it has a fuel pump so you don't need one of those hard to find pressure tanks, and it would be a great motor on a 12 ft Jon Boat or a square back canoe. I like the older metal hood Johnson's so that's the only reason I'm selling this one. If it doesn't sell I'm going to repaint it and put new decals on it and give it to my grandson.

Hey i just bought a jon boat and this exact motor was on it.... How ever i have to use a vice grip in order to shift it because the shifter was broken. I noticed you have a jerry rigged shifter and i wanted to know how you made that....... please let me know
