There are numerous types of Feminists.
Not all women who are feminists believe in abortion, hate men, don't shave, and are lesbians-those are simply generalizing the view of Feminism. Feminists include Black Feminist, conservative Feminists, and Liberal Feminist. We can not group Feminists as one category.

Last line in this video is the perfect problem with todays feminism
I am watching a video from nubiantribesman who has this ideal of what feminism is, despite that the popular feminists of today dont even fit his definition
Feminists used to be about sexual liberty, but now they are about sexual repression, they used to be about womens right to choose their own path, but now they insult any woman who doesnt fit their idea of how women should be
Humanism is the answer, or just being yourself

"There is no definition of feminism that includes limiting or totally removing women's civil rights."
If an unborn baby is a person, then that's bullshit! Yes, people have civil rights, but if you take away some else's rights by killing them, then you are no longer supporting civil rights. Unless you can convince a "pro-lifer" that an unborn baby is not a person, then that's ad hoc reasoning at it's finest.

why is it perfectly fine for women to opt of of motherhood for kids they did not intend to have and men are forced to father or pay for a child they did not intend to have for 18 years.why do fathers have no say why is it the women who choose if a man is going to be a father or not.

@TrixieFilms Perhaps she doesn't see it in the same way you see it. She believes in equal rights for both the woman and the unborn child, she believes every human being has a right to life and a right to the best quality of life. It is SHE who is nonconforming to the stereotypical pro choice feminist standard. To me, this answers one of your initial questions about what has happened to feminism: it has become a platform to stamp a one-sided view on an extraordinarily controversial issue.

@TrixieFilms not just EVERY WOMAN but EVERY MAN aswell it takes a man to make a baby aswell and men are people aswell and should have the same basic human rights as women
women do have all the same rights as men plus they have special rights just for them that men dont have
the law regarding sinlge fathers and mothers is one example fathers have no rights as if they are not people
i fight for human rights

@TrixieFilms Well said!!! The lady even said she didn't believe in contraception!! Guess what, women, your going to become public incubators.I also disagree with what the woman said about raped victims. I was raped and got a child out of it,it's also was born with brain cancer and died,I regret not getting an abortion and struggle with it everyday of my life(I'm mentally damaged now).I once was pro-life,now I'm pro-choice!!!!

Thankk youu soo muchh for verifying the definition of Feminism.
As a Liberal Feminist I fight for women rightss , MY goal is to achieve quality of women through political and legal reform. IT IS absolutely different from the video above.

'defintion of feminism" had they stayed with the simple, right to vote, equal pay, education and opperatunities, etc. i think feminism would be more revered today, but becasue they wanted the genderwar and refused to kick out their nutjobs and allowed feminism to be view, subjectively and dogmatically, they have pretty much killed their image in the eyes of the moderates.
"I find it ironic that this young woman who unequivocally defines herself as anti-choice. I'm not sure how she fits into my definition of feminism."
Really? Projection much? Are you serious? So somehow a woman who claims to be a feminist is being "ironic" when she's being pro-life or "anti-choice"? So she doesn't meet YOUR subjective definition of Feminism, does she? Your last two lines speaks volumes about the disgusting nature of the "pro-choice" ideology.

@thunderbolt94 I'm not talking about her personal choices or beliefs for her own life. And she can call herself whatever she wants. But, yeah, I so think it's ironic that after she talks about her *political* mission to limit the reproductive rights and freedoms of all women by opposing both contraceptives and abortion, she calls herself a feminist. There is no definition of feminism that includes limiting or totally removing women's civil rights.

On the contrary. There is a huge distinction here. Her personal belief is that it is not right to abort a baby. That is to be respected because everyone is entitled to their own personal beliefs as it affects their own lives. Her goal is to impose that personal belief on EVERY WOMAN to make sure no one can have abortions for whatever reason. In other words, she wants wants all women to conform to what she believes in.
