Chill Penguin Glitch

Well I got Fraps to work with ZSNES and I have to say its the smoothest thing ever. Some notes:

1. There's no sound. Headset is broken thus my mic isn't working. Sorry, no commentary.
2. No cheats, hacks, passwords or whatever were used in the making of this odd video.
3. As an addendum to number 1, there is a trace of some sounds if you listen closely. Like when Chill Penguin's lifebar fills, you can faintly hear it.

Also, special thanks to kansie for helping me out with configuring ZSNES to run with Fraps. And yet again, yes: I have Mega Man X/Rockman X in every incarnation. Except PS2.

Now about what you're looking at. Looks normal, yeah? Good. Wait til the boss fight. No, I wasn't taking the stage seriously, bite me. Well, Chill gets to half health, and suddenly my last two shots bounce off him like its nothing. And then we go right to the password screen. What?

basicly what causes this glitch or at least how to get rid of it is

download an different version(i recon you have the (E) V1.0) i recomend an US version orso

but there is some loopback bug cant know how it causes it

but if any shot gets bounced off like at launch octopus stage the mines that drops the mettaur in any stage and many more everything that lets ur shots bounce off

@DarkDyllon As I said in a few of my comments, this glitch still happens on retail versions of the game.

I think there are a lot of glitched roms of this game. There's another one where the first shot you fire on all the bosses it sends you to the password screen and you get the boss's weapon. Sounds like a good thing at first but it screws the whole game up.

@iggy3200 That's basically what happened with this glitch. But for some reason it still happens occasionally on my gamecube. Some of this stuff is pretty funny, and results in some very odd things happening that I can't be bothered to record out of sheer laziness.

i also experienced that glitch a few days ago.After pass screen suddenly I appears in intro stage without leg upgrade,but with penguin's weapon...and forgot to mention-i triggered glitch with fully charged shot,when penguin was standing with open mouth trying to make ice copies of himself

No problem. Although I prefer to use Hypercam since the compression is smaller and still delivers good results. Check my Super Metroid video for an example
