James Brown created funk, pioneered soul and has also spawned multiple genres of music from loops of just 2 of his songs (Think by Lyn Collins & Funky Drummer) both of which are staples of hip hop, drum & bass, soul blah blah. And I wanted to add to his message about music...words and lyrics actually distract the listener from the music itself. Eno refers to the atmospheres that surround us. And the vocalization of those atmospheres by turning them into melodies and passing sounds.
