I completely agree. His life was a downward spiral after loosing his wife. Such a shame he couldn't harness the love us fans felt for him to keep him going strong. So much tragedy for the greatest american rock band. Long live Lynyrd Skynyrd.

You are right. Hearing Alan doing this and actually seeing him perform is a whole other thing. when i first saw this old grey whistle test performance, i was completely blown away. We ware all so robbed of seeing so much more from this legend. Alan was truly a shooting star that faded too quickly. Fly high freebird!
