@ShortyJenkans Wow I found your link on advrider and am in the middle of that fantastic report you have on there about ouray. I answered my own question I see he does have the engine crash bars and I see you went up Mineral point which is the beginning of engineer pass. I can believe you made it with that bmw, very impressed. Great report makes me wanna go back. If you know of any other areas like Ouray where you can ride jeep trails for a good week, let me know. thanks

Thanks for the info, does he have the crash bars for the engine installed? Would love to see any other videos from ouray. After seeing this I think I could do a lot of the trails out there like animas fork california gulch, etc but I don't think I would take it up Mineral springs or mineral point. That was pretty rough even with my 250 but I did see a 650 klr going up. Did you guys happen to do that trail? never been on black bear and probably never will after seeing your video, scary.

Again great video, my shifter bends the tip when you hit it just to avoid that.
And again lots of envy from Spain

Awesome!!!
Hello, just had a couple questions for the bmw 800 rider. I've been to Ouray several years now with my Klx 250s and was thinking about getting a bmw f 800, I'm worried about first gear being too high, what speed can you crawl in without clutchwork. Also how is the weight for balancing going over the rough stuff, did you dump it at all? My bike is about 150 lbs less and and I lowered my sprocket so i can crawl around 7-9 mph.You looked like it was a piece of cake for you was it? Thank You

@ShortyJenkans I was on the KTM, but I can answer having ridden his bike a little. First gear is tall, but the powerband on the 800 is insane, you just lug the engine and it pulls fine. He has not re geared his bike in these videos. The bike is heavy and you will notice it over your klx, but it tackles the rough stuff well. He has dumped the bike many times, lifting it with one person is possible if you remove luggage, but its not fun. 2 people with luggage is no problem.

Thanks guys! I'm definitely learning the ins and outs of helmet caming. I'll make a note of more scenery pans.
